Final Answer....

After much thought and pondering I have decided the Nikon Coolpix 5700 is the camera for me...Because though the L120 has more megapixels and much larger zoom capacity...the quality of the image comparisons did not justify the extra $150 it would cost me...
And there was other factors in the 5700's favor...Separate battery and memory card compartments...More logically located dials and buttons ,plus better menu settings that I control and are not pre-programmed questionably named ones.

So today I returned the L120 for a full refund, ordered a second lithium battery for the 5700 and called my good friend whom I am purchasing the 5700 from to tell her the good news.
And snapped a couple of photos of a Eastern Gray Squirrel playing in my pecan tree..

Blessings Kelsie

Oh, I'd love to know what you think of it. I have the Nikon d40 and hope to upgrade soon.

Kelsie, glad to see you've made your choice, I know how nerve-wracking a decision like this can be. I've been using our son's Nikon D60 for a few years now, but he'd like to upgrade to the D90....I thought about it as a gift for Christmas, until I saw the price, ouch....I better not drop his current camera either!

Love the rainbow photo on the earlier post, can't wait to see more.
