Lead Goat?

I am sure I have lots of news I should share but at the moment I am drawing a blank...So here are the two high lights that stand out in my very tired brain :)

Rocky might not be herd trained yet, but he works great as a "lead goat"...where-ever he goes, they follow...Please excuse quality...Phone camera + sunsetting does not = great quality photos.

The last 2 weeks I have been knee deep in editing photos from my Easter Photo Booth....We got blessed and found a 3 day old lamb to borrow for the day, lots of sweet adorable kids came and made my job soooooo easy...If you would like to see more adorable photos grab a spoon and CLICK HERE....Seriously...these kids are so cute you could just eat them up.

Farm yard animal update...

Picked up these today at The Tractor Supply Co...Friday I will get 3 chicks from the local Ace store because TSC does not carry the breed of chicks I want...though those itty bitty bantam chicks they do have were hard to resist.

Talking of resisting, after tossing and turning most of the weekend, I decided I am just not up to the commitment of a bottle baby (sound familiar??)...So we may still get lucky and find a baby lamb to borrow for Saturday's photoshoot...if not...well we will still have Ducklings, chicks and the goats...and the booth setup is adorable...so we good :)

I guess while I am here I should give a quick Rocky update...he is currently laying quietly at my feet like a good dog, he even returned today with a cat present...He is making great strides with just one lesson...I am sure by the time we finished the 6weeks he will be the dog we know he should be....If only the 3yr old child was so easy to train lol.

Walking the goats...

We took the goats along with us tonight when we took Rocky for his walk...It was so funny watching the fat little goats run after Sara in the nice long pasture grass in the back field...Rocky was super well behaved and worked great as a "lead goat" to get them back to the pens.

But the best moment was when Deenie spotted David over at the well shed and she got all excited and let out a loud bleat and took off as fast as she could run to her "daddy"

Can't wait to be able to let Rocky off of the lead with the goats out there too...He is getting better but still has a ways to go in his training before I would want him and the goats loose in an open unfenced 55 acre field.

I will try next time to take some photos to share.

Popcorn Lamb

Exciting news....WE HAVE A LAMB....Born on Sunday...Popcorn the Ram Lamb will be coming to live at Our Country Home on Monday...Just in time for our Easter Photo Booth ♥

I had hoped to simply borrow a lamb for the weekend, but seems that was not meant to be...So instead Popcorn (white lamb front and center) will be coming to live with us....You know, because I don't already have enough to do, so am adding bottle raising a lamb to my list...not to mention the chicks and the ducklings that will also be coming home with us next week.

So let me say sorry in advance for dropping of the face of blog land lol...between the increasing number of photoshoots and now baby farm animals, I foresee me being a little busy this next couple of months.

Thank goodness I have handed over the veggie garden to hubby this season :)
