New Feathers

Lucy and Ethel are looking lovely with their new bright white clean feathers, now the end of summer molting is complete...Sadly the their tail feathers are not looking so pretty...

Ethel in front, Lucy in back.

It has been a busy few days around here getting hubby ready to head to NC until Sunday night...I am not looking forward to picking lil Sara up from daycare today and have to explain why her Grandparents and her Daddy are not here...I think we will go visit the neighbors on the way home to distract her...Please pray for me alone on the farm with a 3yr old for 4 days....

Sunday sure does seem along way-a-way right now...Not just because hubby is gone, but that is the day my other baby moves home for awhile...I feel like a kid waiting for Christmas morning to come around but without the help of Advent chocolate to easy the waiting.

Blessings Kelsie

Awwww...just think, you are holding down the fort! I hope all goes well for you, but I bet you can handle anything that comes your way until they return. I pray for everyone to have safe trips and safe holding down the fort days ahead!!!

Breathe in. Breathe out. Drink plenty of liquids and get some rest. It's a girls only weekend!

I wish my girl that is molting would finally get some new feather and start laying again! Yours look great! Sorry to hear you'll be alone for the weekend but I know you will get all kinda things done once you get over the hump.

Kelsie,
Although I remember that dread of Daddy being away...it was a time I spent closer to my sons. Regular life went to the wayside. In it's place were a cookie baking session, movie in a theatre, outing to the park...you get the idea. Did I get behind in the housework. Yes! But when Daddy came home, I turned the boys over to him while I did some catching up. If I remember correctly his time with the boys included a trip to a local pond and some fishing poles.
Fondly,
Pat

I'm reading this on Saturday so you only have one more night and your dear husband will be home. I'll remember you in my Prayers tonight. My goodness, I think your lovely girls, Lucy and Ethel look very happy. I hope they are just pets! If they're not I don't want to know. They are gorgeous. I'll be your newest follower.
