Happy 4th of July...

Yesterday after dinner we headed out to the flag pole that is in the family cemetery on the northern boundary...Old Uncle GB a returned Vet is buried here, so we keep the flag flying year round in honor of him...Now and again though we have to go and replace the flag as the FL sun and rain takes it's toll on the fabric, sometimes a storm will help it along to being replaced sooner...

This was the case this time, the flag had started to fray a little but was ok,until a small twig got caught in the loose thread during the last storm and tore it up...Last night we replaced it with a new flag. I was actually glad to see the old flag can be patched and possibly be reused as it was a gift from my mother many years ago.

I wishing yall a wonderful weekend. Have a safe and fun 4th of July filled with love and celebration of family and freedom.

Blessings Kelsie

What a wonderful way to honor your uncle's memory. Too often we forget what Independence Day is all about, and this is lovely reminder.
