Lets take a walk....

In yesterday's post (Click Here to Read) I mentioned I had taken too many photos to share in one post, so here are the rest of the walk thru the gardens...Oh and a couple I snapped today..

Let's start with the front porch and the new porch furniture...I am sooooo in love with these wrought iron pieces...They are exactly what we have been wanting and hoping to find to suit our country cottage garden...We found them at Big Lots and YAY they were on sale...

This is a just because photo...I do love a hanging basket...I think I need about a 1/2 dozen more and a shepherds hook or two :)

Here are the naughty chickens...We still have not managed to keep them from getting into the front yard...but we do have a plan B...just need to find time to implement it...Plan C is they go live with someone else...

Strike a pose...I swear as soon as Bravo realizes I have a camera pointed at him he stops and poses for me...Now if anyone out there could tell me what breed/s this majestic example of rooster favors, I would love to know.

Before we head out to see how the veggies in the melon field are doing, let's take a look at the potatoes in the tires...I trimmed all the lower leaves and stuffed the second tire with more hay...I guess in about a week they should be tall enough for a 3rd tire to be added...at which time I will again trim all the leaves and branches that are below the top of the tire and stuff full of hay...I have a feeling these tires might end up pink as it gets hotter so not over heat the "fruit" as it develops...again this is an experiment and all just theory at this point..

Finally out in the field...the corn is looking good...We planted 72 corn plants out here...

The tomatoes are growing like crazy...so are the Brussel sprouts next to them...

Look the tomatoes are already flowering...

And finally the bare foot Lil Sara trying to remember which row she left her shoes on...

Now if I was a bird, I would head straight for that hanging plant and claim it as my nest for the Spring :-)

I love your garden! I have to do raised beds here until we fence in an area below our house. I am jealous of your blue skies! I can't plant anything until after Mother's Day or it will freeze.

Adorable porch furniture...snakes like to get into the tires, take it from me....tell Lil Sara to be careful around it. Hope you don't have to go to plan C for your chickens and rooster. Love your planting fields!

Your gardens are coming along lovely. WE are still in snow....just wishing!

You planted all those rows? That looks like so much work! The rooster looks like an Old English Game Fowl...maybe a Birchen. Or maybe something else altogether. Just my guess.

Kelsie,
Blossoms on the tomatoes! Yum! Thank you for the lovely walk around your yard and garden, dear. Rooster and chickens...have no idea what kind they are. My favorite kind, fried!
Fondly,
Pat
