Chicken Boy Bravo..

Chicken Boy Bravo is such a pretty boy, he should be a model...
So I sent in his picture to Hobby Farm magazine...
Let's see if he makes the cut...
I am still feeling bad he remains segregated from his gals but they do not seem to be missing him at all...Actually they are all looking plumper and healthier for it.

With melon season over, plowing of the back field has begun, I think once they are done and the hay is planted, I am going to work on getting hubby motivated to move the chicken pen back there and a do a side by side chicken run so Bravo will not be quite so isolated.

Blessings Kelsie

I'm sure those girls are a lot happier! I like it when the bucks are shut away from us nannies.

Kelsie, he's a winner in my book. I bet the girls are way happier without him around, I know my hens never seemed to miss the roosters one bit. That said, we did raise four chicks this spring from already fertilized eggs from a friend and it looks like at least two of the four are possibly roosters, though it's a bit early to tell.

I know chickens hate to be separated from the flock, but if Chicken Boy Bravo would only behave himself, he wouldn't be in solitary confinement, right? Too bad hens can't just say they have a headache!
