This week we made our much dreaded trip to the grocery store...And I just could not do it...I could not bring myself to buy the over priced, questionable in quality meat from there...Not to mention knowing the questionable practices on Factory Farms and in Abattoirs. Not just here in the USA but from around the world...Come on we have all seen the disturbing and cruel images and videos from these places...</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
So we took the leap and called the butcher and this morning dropped off "Lamb Chop" the first of 3 ram lambs we intend to use for food for our family.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhfuONJGT0SKMQcINUZcXFEZW1fudCrHUUEZAEb4GAmOFaaH9AzISSDoekKMiJ0DibLTCwRfjPkMtISrQyOVXDe5f5GkhJgJlX_4JISliN6GJLsFWGbPNPELSSanhbysqNlJakK0HwLJA1t/s1600/lambchop.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhfuONJGT0SKMQcINUZcXFEZW1fudCrHUUEZAEb4GAmOFaaH9AzISSDoekKMiJ0DibLTCwRfjPkMtISrQyOVXDe5f5GkhJgJlX_4JISliN6GJLsFWGbPNPELSSanhbysqNlJakK0HwLJA1t/s1600/lambchop.jpg" height="320" width="240" /></a><br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<i>I should point out that "lamb" is anything under 12months old...Our rams are 9 to 10 months old...So those freaking out at the idea of a "little lamb" being food this is not the case.</i></div>
<i style="text-align: center;"><br /></i>
<div style="text-align: center;">
So many people are shocked when we tell them we intend to butcher and eat our sheep...(well not all our sheep, we of course intend to keep our breeders)...These same people have no problem walking into the store and grabbing a packet of meat or buying a steak dinner at a restaurant...SO why is it different for us to butcher those we have raised ourselves?</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Yes we have put a face on the meat, but they all have faces to begin with, just because you have not looked in their eyes or scratched their chins while they nibble treats from your hand, does not make the animals that end up in the stores anymore or less living creatures than those on my farm....The difference however is...Mine is healthy, chemical free and raised in a safe, loving environment...they are not neglected, tortured or crammed into little crates or dry lots where they are force feed food that was never meant to be eaten by any living creature.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
My sheep know mine and hubbies voice and will come when we call...We talk to them and will scratch the offered ear, feed them treats from our pockets if they approach us out in the fields and make sure they well taken care of...I appreciate them and that their body will become good food for my family, so to honor that, I treat them with love and respect while they are here on the farm.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Eventually we hope to get to the place were we do it all ourselves...from birth to plate...In the meantime we have a wonderful butcher just 2 miles from here...Today Lambchop made that very short drive with us, I gave him one last scratch and an apple flavored horse treat and said goodbye...he was a little confused but certainly not stressed or upset...I know they will handle the job swiftly and humanly. To me this is a much better option than sending any of our animals off to auction where we have no idea the conditions in which they will life or die.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Next yr we hope to add a bully calf and maybe a pig or two to our property...With the money we are saving on our red meat we can afford to switch to buying from the <a href="https://www.facebook.com/pages/Laughing-Chicken-Farm/108558185834354">Laughing Chicken Farm</a> in the future when we want chicken.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
After shooting everyone else's Christmas photos in November, I did manage to get our own little shoot done in a timely manner...even managed to order my cards with time to mail them out.</div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
But alas, I ran out of time to address them all until today and then realized I was 10 short.</div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
So I ask you...Am I brave (crazy) enough to run into Walmart to pickup those last 10 cards on the last Saturday before Christmas with my 5yr old in tow? or do I make hubby do it and risk him being confused when they make him sign those pesky copyright forms lol</div>

Preheat oven to 450F. Line a cookie sheet with foil and spray with nonstick cooking spray.</div>

Allow to cool slightly, then remove from cookie sheet and put into a blender...Add a dash of chicken broth to help liquefy roasted toms...I do this usually in 2 small batches.</div>

This week has been all about the sheep.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
So much going on and we take the next step.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
PRODUCTION.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
On Wednesday a dear sweet lady, friend and mentor, came out to visit our little farm..Her husband and her have a very long history in the development of Hair Sheep to Florida and our sheep are decedents of ewes from their flock. We got lots of great information and pointed and a thumbs up on the condition of our ewes. And found out that our young growing ram lambs require 2x the feed to put on as much weight as the girls. So we have doubled their evening rashions. Can't wait to get one of those bad boys in the freezer...YUM</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Ruth did a <span style="background-color: #feffea; font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 11px;"> </span><span style="background-color: #feffea; font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 11px;">FAMACHA</span><span style="background-color: #feffea; font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 11px;"> </span>test and found them to look good and health, which of course is great news for us as the less you have to worm the better the health of your stock is.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhjjx4zYMma213GuCTAZLRPByW0Uj3KdTNENxzfZDDDZRzMHAxehe3m17T6Fc64wTO-8C7Dk3_CHD2PusbJDAunwsPkXBDJHFSJ0XEH6ztXtlWG1UVVEc2k9A5-efEPwqAWcfzbS0nsRt8T/s1600/youngewesnov13web.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhjjx4zYMma213GuCTAZLRPByW0Uj3KdTNENxzfZDDDZRzMHAxehe3m17T6Fc64wTO-8C7Dk3_CHD2PusbJDAunwsPkXBDJHFSJ0XEH6ztXtlWG1UVVEc2k9A5-efEPwqAWcfzbS0nsRt8T/s400/youngewesnov13web.jpg" width="266" /></a></div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
As I mentioned before we are taking the next step and starting production....So hubby and I build a new "love shack" in the north pen...For the next 35 days (2 heat cycles) Rocky the Ram Lamb and the 6 2yr old ewes will be housed in this pen....It is going to be a long 5 months (gestation period of a sheep) to see if this was a successful interlude.</div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
I will be back tomorrow with a very special post. Until then</div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">As life tends to be with children underfoot and work and farms, we are staying busy...The wee one is growing like a weed and ever the "helper"...which all you moms know translates to me having to do most things two (or three or four) times lol.</span></div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">She is still very hands on with the goats and helps with the sheep, though they are scared of this super hyper noisy short person...They do however LOVE Farmer Brown...As he and his bucket means food...and they sure do like that.</span></div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">I am hoping to try and capture Farmer Brown feeding the sheep one evening, It truly is a sight that brings joy to my heart...We have worked and saved and Dreamed 9 yrs for this and to see it coming to fruition is beyond amazing...The Lord truly has blessed us in abundance...I am sure to be a blubbering joyful mess come lambing season lol.</span></div>

<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">2 weeks ago we attended the fall meeting for the Meat Sheep Alliance of Florida and become members...We learnt so much and came home very inspired to push on and do this thing...Can't wait for the Spring Festival in April...This week we are having a dear lady come visit our farm...She and her husband are responsible for developing the hair sheep in FL...I can't wait see her again and spend some time picking her brain on areas we need to be working on.<br /><br />For the first time since last Nov I am caught up on customers photography orders and am looking forward to taking it slow on the bookings for a while and turn my attention back to homemaking a little more...I need to deep clean in general and there are a dozen or more projects I would like to get back to and finish...Like decorating the living room...Also need to start prepping some garden beds now for spring planting...We have not had a garden this past 2 seasons and I miss it and want to explore canning more...So basicly this girl wants to get back to the farmy stuff and less of the photography stuff...Though photography does pay $$...Farm pays me in so much more.<br /><br />Well I best get going and find some lunch and prep the camera gear for the 2 family session I have this afternoon.<br /><br />Missing all my blogging buddies.<br />Blessings Kelsie</span></div>

I love it...though I still have a little more china than cabinet...good thing I still have the other smaller china cabinet as well<br /><br />Or maybe I will just rotate depending on my mood :) , That way I can still use the smaller one for my Silkstone doll collection as originally planned.<br /><br />So when I finish on the dinning area I will share images of the entire space.<br /><br />Blessings Kelsie</div>

The wee one is not so wee anymore...</div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
Today was her first day of school career, </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
one day down, 13yrs to go.</div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
We have opted to place her in the local charter school, with smaller classes and philosophy to allow children to learn at the level they are capable of, instead of holding them back and forcing the accelerated kids to "wait" for the others to catch up.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
School uniforms, which having been raised in a system that required them for 12yrs, I am a huge believer in uniforms for school children and do not buy into the BS about uniforms stifling creativity blah blah blah.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The next few weeks are going to be an adjustment I am sure, with trying to juggle bedtime and evening chores etc...But we will work it out...because we don't have much choice now do we lol.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>

Once again it has been a big gap between updates...So I will try and do a quick catch you up about here, before I have to rush out the door again.<br /><br />The 2 big boy goats did not stay long, they were super sweet and friendly, but alas they brought with them a really bad habit of jumping over fenced or should I say, breaking fences...Our 4 foot fences are a great barrier for our little Nigerian Dwarf goats but not a match for the big Nubian whethers.<br />Since neither had a function on the farm other than to help eat down the grass, spending money to electrify the fence to contain them was just not an option...So I sold them to a hobby farm that has other large goats for them to live with.<br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjSLphIfbvJSZkRknDhwCI6giLJlsKlvQTkpG-ngprTs4yD4hrREbkMm5ZF_qhO_HSmlz4CyWfIm5-dnnDMTx7vtEfpjMxrKUgJJm1ZdQU-s-_2Z6fTOaL40UNTZ6C7mxPUhyPCW_cqMnre/s1600/ewes1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjSLphIfbvJSZkRknDhwCI6giLJlsKlvQTkpG-ngprTs4yD4hrREbkMm5ZF_qhO_HSmlz4CyWfIm5-dnnDMTx7vtEfpjMxrKUgJJm1ZdQU-s-_2Z6fTOaL40UNTZ6C7mxPUhyPCW_cqMnre/s320/ewes1.jpg" width="320" /></a><br />Ewe's grazing in the top north pasture.<br /><br />Finally we got our sheep...14 in total...well actually it was 15 but we lost a little ewe lamb in the first week since we did not realise she was sick (or even on property) for the first few days...By the time we did realize she was just to far gone for our inexperience shepherding skillz to help her...But we did learn alot from her in the short time she was with us and have already put it to use with the rest of the flock.</div>

</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Back inside the house the photo studio is coming along...I still have to paint the desk and make a skirt for the craft/framing table...but the important part...the actual photographing area is up and running.<br />This week of course it is set up for a Valentines Day themed shoot...Sadly the little girl whom was supposed to be here this morning is sick with the flu so we had to rescheduled her for next weekend.<br /><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgUWdUme8H_wqSqMonKwxToAfRqCoiIYMupgYcg1jY3fMFa58_3X1lm4Y91V00tuIdmeBkSUnNAXaqm-K6QjOWGHSv8uMVX0mPk6ufQZ8sG0SqX4LY1on4DNmgFXbm39IDPypoCJeevT518/s1600/Vset_2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgUWdUme8H_wqSqMonKwxToAfRqCoiIYMupgYcg1jY3fMFa58_3X1lm4Y91V00tuIdmeBkSUnNAXaqm-K6QjOWGHSv8uMVX0mPk6ufQZ8sG0SqX4LY1on4DNmgFXbm39IDPypoCJeevT518/s320/Vset_2.jpg" width="320" /></a><br /><br />hmmm maybe when I get out the sewing machine to do the table skirt I should maybe hem the sheers on the french doors so I don't have to have them knotted up so they don't drag on the floor.<br /><br />The baby goats have been keeping me busy...we had some below freezing nights so I was up every couple of hours to check on them, run the heat lamp in the little goat house, for 30 minutes to keep it cozy then turn it off again so not to burn anything to the ground...Then each morning we play shuffle the goats...I put momma and babies in the big "pen" to graze for the day...the other 2 have to be moved from that pen out to the pasture, because Deenie is not being very nice and keeps chasing the babies to butt them...Hoping she is going to be nicer to her own when they are born at the beginning of March...The babies are to little for the pasture because they can fit thru the fence...and that can't be good....maybe by next week we can put them all out there together...we might have the rest of the fence stretched too. (the neighbor decided that goat fence is to hard to put up, so they just ran barbed wire for their cows...we will be putting up our own wire on the inside of the poles...in the mean time my dog is house bound so he does not chase their stupid cows because he can run straight under the lowest strand of wire...not feeling very neighborly these days...or at least to that one lol)<br /><br />I am still sorting thru content of boxes that came out of the double wide trailer we sold back in Oct 2012.<br />Which I guess I should share photos from that event sometimes soon...The good news is, this week I took 2 boxes and one large black bag of stuff to the thrift store...one day we might even have a box free dinning room woot woot.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Well better get dressed and prep for the tween bday shoot I am doing this afternoon.<br /><br />Have a wonderful blessed weekend</div>

In the newborn photography word, the ideal time for new born photos is anything up to 10days old...So when the babies reached 8 days, into the studio with them it was.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjWORMymaRdQtgHjgk45cpKWKvXyDf47N7aw8pfe_hSHmGnIb19dJN61tziGrSVLX2Z5JzW5hHlfwUROaUcgPcpvQlH0RBvhzqas9ckZNLcMlbTn2GjHd-eh10aCyHl-8zr8bznUn2D14iC/s1600/twins_2_web.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="256" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjWORMymaRdQtgHjgk45cpKWKvXyDf47N7aw8pfe_hSHmGnIb19dJN61tziGrSVLX2Z5JzW5hHlfwUROaUcgPcpvQlH0RBvhzqas9ckZNLcMlbTn2GjHd-eh10aCyHl-8zr8bznUn2D14iC/s320/twins_2_web.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
But this pair could just not hold still...they were into everything...so funny because they taste test EVERYTHING...and loved playing peek a boo behind the backdrop.</div>
<span style="background-color: white; color: #333333; font-family: 'lucida grande', tahoma, verdana, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 17px;"><br /></span>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjf3WDduf1xpoel4UyD24G8kt7K8Frd84bh1piEvIxgeGWcU89Lh_VyRcW0BXX5rQjlXWQvTjaerN-ylvS2-AkmRbAKMJtsV3EPBuihLBZfjxVM7VLiT_Bjcdpu_PjlOeuhwEeUxlWbRFRi/s1600/twins_1_web.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="228" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjf3WDduf1xpoel4UyD24G8kt7K8Frd84bh1piEvIxgeGWcU89Lh_VyRcW0BXX5rQjlXWQvTjaerN-ylvS2-AkmRbAKMJtsV3EPBuihLBZfjxVM7VLiT_Bjcdpu_PjlOeuhwEeUxlWbRFRi/s320/twins_1_web.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
These were the only 2 photos of them both together that I managed.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I am reassured that my usual clients are not able to run, jump and play during their "new born" photos...and even a surly toddler is easier to work with lol...but it was still lots of fun and oh look how cute Peter and Tink are.<br /><br />I promise to post some behind the scene stuff as well....just as soon as I get caught up on client edits and taxes.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Blessings Kelsie</div>

Are you sick of the chickens and the coop yet?</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Promise to not share any more chicken posts after this one, until some serious painting and decorating has happened in the coop *grin*</div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
After being "cooped" up all day yesterday, I let the girls our to roam in the yard today.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
They are not sure what to make of it, as their old coop was in a wooded area and here they are in the open...The "yard" area is actually the smaller goat/dog pen and also has another small house in it, that will be used short term to separate the goats during kidding...and become the feed store house long term.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhNl9v0p09PX12gGPoqwm8bpguJpIUHdgz5xOcL8q0zcIY_nX7-h3W4_WWIxlmn5JO7CYyhFr9rwXF89rIDs3Vg52hm1cDyoVQfIfEdi5w1aWus57FoB0eVTuEcJC88AmBiJ0Fr86vEbPAz/s1600/flock_3.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="256" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhNl9v0p09PX12gGPoqwm8bpguJpIUHdgz5xOcL8q0zcIY_nX7-h3W4_WWIxlmn5JO7CYyhFr9rwXF89rIDs3Vg52hm1cDyoVQfIfEdi5w1aWus57FoB0eVTuEcJC88AmBiJ0Fr86vEbPAz/s320/flock_3.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Talking of goats, Sarah Goat (on the left) and Boots are very curious why I am in the small goat yard and they are not...They know the grass is greener in here...literally...we have been keeping them out of here so when we separate during kidding the goats in here will have some good grazing.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjlU5bV0lX-cuvtKipGJK-OCZuHwKEevp8_1vx5M5PB0yctGj1aziVSucIyBfZArbpwMDbWjP2nsCVxqbSXyt09J51_zSD63UisZny557xnmB_MCewQoRs1NkT-knZiHPIi6mee_cA-8MJ0/s1600/flock_4.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjlU5bV0lX-cuvtKipGJK-OCZuHwKEevp8_1vx5M5PB0yctGj1aziVSucIyBfZArbpwMDbWjP2nsCVxqbSXyt09J51_zSD63UisZny557xnmB_MCewQoRs1NkT-knZiHPIi6mee_cA-8MJ0/s320/flock_4.jpg" width="213" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The <b>HenPals Nest Box </b>from <a href="https://www.facebook.com/gafarmwoman">https://www.facebook.com/gafarmwoman</a> are currently sitting on top of the an old desk, which doubles as a good place for the ducks to sleep under....As you can see they seem to have adapted quickly and have been coming and going from the new coop all morning...fingers crossed...I would really prefer not to have to trim wings.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Once they are fully settled they will have full range of the back grazing fields..where-ever the goats can roam, so too shall the chickens.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
The Coop is not 100% finished...I still want to paint the walls (inside and out) and it needs one more panel added to the west side to keep out any bad weather...But they are more safe and secure in here than they have ever been before.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
Sleeping quarters were moved over from the old coop...Each perch easily lifts out to make cleaning easier...We put a half sheet of plywood to make the 3rd wall.</div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I seems a little cramped for 9 chickens and 2 ducks, but after a couple of days (and some wing) trimming, they will be free range again...Well a little less range than they are used to, because before they had the entire world, and they would range up and down the road and anywhere else they pleased...now they will be contained to the back 3acres...poor birdies lol.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
Snapped this lastnight with my phone...gives you another view of the perches in the sleeping area</div>

<div style="text-align: center;">

<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
I am waiting for the laying box to dry out because I just finished hosing it out and then will put it in place...not that I expect the girls to lay for me the next couple of days...they was pretty annoyed at being moved.</div>

I know I have been pretty absent since June and have no explanation but life got busy...My photography business took off quicker than I ever dreamed...Feel so blessed to be able to turn something I love into my "job"...Right now I am enjoying a little quiet time after the Christmas rush...I have paperwork to catch up on and still a couple of sessions to edit, but my heart and brain need a little good ole quiet country time.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
In some area's things have been going rapidly around here and others slower than wet Saturday afternoon.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Today I just wanted to share a couple of things happening this week/month at Our Country Home.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgpbBVc3hi-V08VczPHS4oHukXZPoKFHWiyNKh9xop12gi41m8bnk4Ssu-Nv3LzfsJ0DNyGZLlcBYOwhwXUzgQwnJYLtghueQJ_yyEYAWsNPNm8L0ERuhPGMAeDkcKUx153tH131yoNw9xH/s1600/rockyhaybale_1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgpbBVc3hi-V08VczPHS4oHukXZPoKFHWiyNKh9xop12gi41m8bnk4Ssu-Nv3LzfsJ0DNyGZLlcBYOwhwXUzgQwnJYLtghueQJ_yyEYAWsNPNm8L0ERuhPGMAeDkcKUx153tH131yoNw9xH/s400/rockyhaybale_1.jpg" width="285" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Rocky the PITA Blue Healer (is that a breed hehe) on one of the last round bale that will be cut on our property....T<span style="text-align: center;">he 55acres behind us is going to be cow pasture...So they (the neighbors) will no longer be cutting hay...which means they will not be cutting our back 3 acres either...That is why the goats (and future sheep) are going to be so important to us...They will provide a lawn mowing service during the summer months and come fall fill our freezer...the sheep will that is...the goats get to stay year round.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEil27qz1t1q1unNlriJevPudxG67DKBj5jMAUOkBoQjyhCSYKYUx9_3yLyEirbbDHtnkAR7ITU_ZZWxqZLSJWjehl3rMvdI9rfyk_5Pwie-E0qXdZGjsX5sB00lI8wSmxbBTmGaWKXz8a2p/s1600/rockyhaybale_2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEil27qz1t1q1unNlriJevPudxG67DKBj5jMAUOkBoQjyhCSYKYUx9_3yLyEirbbDHtnkAR7ITU_ZZWxqZLSJWjehl3rMvdI9rfyk_5Pwie-E0qXdZGjsX5sB00lI8wSmxbBTmGaWKXz8a2p/s400/rockyhaybale_2.jpg" width="285" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
So you see we are fixing to get fenced in...Today we picked up the rolls of Sheep/Goat wire and an another gate...We are providing the fence wire for our section of the fences and they (the neighbors) are providing most of the posts and the labor.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh6iEkmrmAWgFg_gQvqVFoYQclxcR3A7xynsd6GV-BTZhBGmbhwdC3OXyJxyiG4YiI4zKBV-AiF1owJ4YV5q9BvbnQcO6HU1EO8yJL6y5oLYTpfbURWGcaZRADxL1c-PoNJYIR-b0LWShVQ/s1600/rockyhaybale_3.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="266" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh6iEkmrmAWgFg_gQvqVFoYQclxcR3A7xynsd6GV-BTZhBGmbhwdC3OXyJxyiG4YiI4zKBV-AiF1owJ4YV5q9BvbnQcO6HU1EO8yJL6y5oLYTpfbURWGcaZRADxL1c-PoNJYIR-b0LWShVQ/s400/rockyhaybale_3.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The corner posts are set...He does nice work...a kazillion times better than we could have done.<br />
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj2byodlsyR2MI726KerOecg8hLxTFg1mFE4wGPq6-E9OBdqMj2p7I3uVi0r5Pps5CK69qZmXm7GqJbcJm6i5LwMk-LrVtkzraasV8cJwNpnHx5JTrm22H7fh11g7kQ3O4VQHQLezFFen4t/s1600/rockyhaybale_4.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj2byodlsyR2MI726KerOecg8hLxTFg1mFE4wGPq6-E9OBdqMj2p7I3uVi0r5Pps5CK69qZmXm7GqJbcJm6i5LwMk-LrVtkzraasV8cJwNpnHx5JTrm22H7fh11g7kQ3O4VQHQLezFFen4t/s320/rockyhaybale_4.jpg" width="288" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Also we are working on a new chicken house...This was originally another neighbors dove/quail house...it had a mesh floor but hubby replaced that with wood and some sturdy floor paint...as for the lovely blue...let's just say, I was less than impressed, as I wanted it and the walls to be white...just as well for him the floor will be covered in wood shavings.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg3jwp8ckkJlUkmIHo9rEBKzHLSfMxxf_vcH6D9gS4Yc1Zh7ZX2ao-nvZe1H76VJKh8L3O85NgI7csR8IBi2cFmzbOJc32hd3hw6caP4tiK2OZp0OrcCSeaSwZb_dXASreh2WKeCpaT7TyG/s1600/rockyhaybale_5.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg3jwp8ckkJlUkmIHo9rEBKzHLSfMxxf_vcH6D9gS4Yc1Zh7ZX2ao-nvZe1H76VJKh8L3O85NgI7csR8IBi2cFmzbOJc32hd3hw6caP4tiK2OZp0OrcCSeaSwZb_dXASreh2WKeCpaT7TyG/s320/rockyhaybale_5.jpg" width="288" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The goats are not convinced the chickens should have this new house, maybe it would make a good goat house...and that is something we have gone back and forth about...it would be a good place to separate the birthing does and new kids into...decisions decisions...but then what do we do with the chickens...the "temp" house is falling down and they need to be moved soon.(like last month)</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
