Sara's Surgery is Tomorrow

Tomorrow is Lil Sara's surgery, please keep us in your prayers over the next few days...Obviously I will be MIA from Blogland during this time...I am nervous but excited to see my baby finally be able to breath while she sleeps...and all the other lovely positives that come with a child that can actually get restful slumber.

Here she is eating her afternoon snack on her first day of "Head Start" yesterday...I just wish the surgery did not mean that she would miss so much school..

For those of you that missed it the sleep study and results post can be found

Blessings Kelsie

Tonsils and adnoids is such a common surgery any more. I hope all goes well and Sara is back at school in less time than anticipated.

Kelsie, I'll be praying for her (and you)...count on it! I know how nerve-wracking it is when it is your child. It would be easier to go through the surgery yourself to spare her, wouldn't it?

Sending prayers, big hugs and lots of love and concern your way.

I've been through a few surgeries with my children and grands - no matter how large or small the surgery, there's still that element of fear because of the love you feel for them. We mothers have this fearsome protective instinct built in to us for our own. All of us mothers / grandmothers will be right there with you praying for you, Sara, and guidance of the doctor's hands. God Bless!

I'll be thinking of you tomorrow and praying for Sara. I think this will make a big difference. After my daughters surgery for this we didn't have the sickness anymore. Actually it was a long time before she was sick again but no bouts of tonsilitis or other serious sore throats.

My daughter had her tonsils and adnoids removed and there is never a surgery that is simple because it is your child that is being put under...it's always a risk, but we say our prayers and know that the Lord is guiding all fingers, hands, mechanicals, etc. She'll go through a rough patch afterward; let her sleep as much as she wants thru the pain and make sure you adequately control the pain so she won't suffer needlessly. Some doctors are so ignorant in this area. I said a prayer for you guys.

Kelsie,
This will be one of the hardest things you will experience in your child's young life. Know that 'lil Sara ,truly, is in God's hands.I remember the day our youngest had tubes put in his ears. I wept as they closed the doors and I could no further follow him to surgery. My MoMa told me when my tonsils were removed...it was the longest day in history for her. She was a riveter during World War II for Boeing aircraft. My prayers will begin @ 5 am for you dear! Keep us posted!
Fondly,
Pat

I'll be thinking of you tomorrow. It's so hard to see your child go through surgery and to be in pain. But, the outcome will be well worth it for Sara's long-term health.
Sara's picture is darling. She'll be back there in no time!

Many blessings to you and your family!
