I have found that the little things have begun to slip thru the cracks around here...The "get to it tomorrow" attitude has been sneaking in all around me and taken a strong hold in my home...I am not sure when it started but I do know it has been years...YES, years since I made my bed every day...I have fallen into the habit of only making it when I change the sheets...hmmmm

So I have set myself the challenge to each day MAKE THE BED...
Then today after I made the bed, I was motivated to...
Sweep EVERY room in the house even in the corners...
Emptied the dishwasher in the morning instead of waiting until tonight when I have to refill it....
I also washed, dried, folded and put away ALL the laundry...
Picked up the stray toys and put them away...
Made Baked-beans from scratch in the crock-pot...
Cleaned out and vacuumed the car...
ALL because I started with one small little job that is so easy to ignore...
AND before collecting Sara from Daycare early to take her to a dental appointment and pick-up the prescriptions while in town...
I guess housework is kinda like Dieting...If you make the right decision early in the morning, the rest of the day is just a matter of staying on track with that decision.
So I ask you again...Did you make your bed today??
Blessings Kelsie

Good Evening Kelsie Sweetie...
I am right there with you. I get up at 3:30am and off to work by 5am. I make my bed before I leave as it sets the pace as to how my day will be.
Girl you were on a roll this morning. How wonderful to get so much accomplished. Makes you feel great too.
Hope you have a great evening. Thanks for the beautiful share. Country hugs sweetie from Phoenix, Sherry
Okay...I'll be honest. I did not make the bed today. Should of, could of, would of...
Yes, I made the bed , did loads & loads of laundry, weeded the herb garden and then was so tuckered out I took an early evening nap. I think I might not make the bed tomorrow...all this work just wears me out.
I enjoyed this post.
Did I make my bed today? No, but my wife did :-)
I like your comparison of housework to a diet :-)
God bless and have a great week

I make my bed every day of the week...well, sometimes not on the weekends....
Hold on a minute.... OK, now I can answer that the bed is made! Actually, since we moved our bed has been made every day. Our bedroom opens onto the living room... so on the off chance that someone comes by, and gets inside before I think to shut the bedroom door, I want it to look nice. Well, as nice as it can right now. Currently the spread is on a bed at the old house so that the house shows nicely, so I only have to pull up the sheet, blanket and comforter and plumb the bed pillows! Easy Peasy!
Wow...I admire all of the work that you accomplished. I've been on a roll like that on occasions, and it really does feel nice to look back at everything that was accomplished...before noon!
Kelsie,
NOPE, I didn't!
Fondly,
Pat
I wouldn't have made my bed today, but you reminded me to last night! :) I also have this habit. No one sees my bed, so I never think about it. I get up, walk away, and don't think about it until bed time, then I put it into place just so I can get in it and mess it up! :)
I hardly ever make our bed...it is really bad but I get up and I don't get back there till it is time to go to bed again. :) It does ALWAYS look better when the bed is made...
