After the rains...

One of the things that I just do not seem to be able to get past in Florida (and the rest of the South East for that matter) is how it can be cloudy and rain all day but still be hotter than Hades ...Growing up in Albany Western Australia, which has just two temps...Hot - When the sun is out...Cold - When it is raining...Simple weather, for simple living...

I had hoped to join the Chicken Party this week and get something together for the Tea-parties also, but alas it was not meant to be...I did manage to snap a few photos in the garden after the rain finally stopped late this afternoon...

White Vinca - Color Balance Editing

Day Lily Buds

Pink Vinca

Pears

Box of pears ready for tomorrow when we go to visit Boots and help with the worming and vaccination of him and all the other goats...This is going to be a great learning experience for both hubby and I.

Enjoyed visiting your blog and post. Nothing is that simple in the weather in Texas.

Kelsie,
It's raining here this morning as I type! Your photos remind me of the Spring rains we experience on the Prairie. As a child...of 'lil Sara's age...my MoMa would let me put on my rain boots and my slicker and play as the rain came down. Then I was allowed to watch Gene Kelly and the famous...Singing in the RAin. Helped me as an adult to understand , "When the Storms of Life are Raging"!Enjoy your visit to see Boots!!!
Fondly,
Pat

In Texas, it might literally be pouring down rain at your house, but across the street it can be completely dry --- a straight line of showers very clearly marked. I've stood on my porch in the pouring down rain waving to my neighbor across the street who was dry and mowing the yard (quickly). Florida does have such humidity --- very similar to Texas, that it is always hot and muggy, but the state is so beautiful and tropical, it's worth it! We love Florida!

Love the way the raindrops are just perfect on the flower blooms.

Impressive white vinca image. I haven't ever seen this flower shot from that angle before. You certainly think Outside the Box. View mine on Mondays, if you can.

Hello i am new here. Those photos are very beautiful, this kind of droplets in my photos still elude me. I wonder if my lens is limiting me.

Such pretty blooms & i bet they are happy it rained too! Funny how quickly the ground can dry out & make our gardens "unhappy" isn't it? Your photo's are very stunning w/the raindrops! Thanks for sharing over at Cottage Flora Thursday's today! xoxo, tracie
