It's been awhile

I have not picked up a colored pencil and done any drawing for years...and I mean YEARS...Possibly not at all since moving to FL in 2004...So today a dear friend bragged about going to the art store for supplies and made me jealous...So I grabbed the jar of "rose art" pencils I have here for the kids, a piece of card stock and a copy of "Hobby Farm" magazine since it is to wet and icky (tornado watch all day today) outside...

So this is the result...Ok stop laughing...that means you Miss Kari...I actually got a cramp in my hand so gave up on the tail...Oh and would love to know where the pencil sharpener has vanished to....

I do however like how the head turned out...Maybe one day I will have the patience (and pencil sharpener) to tackle a rooster tail again...And though he may not be a master piece, it was good to play again.

Kelsie,
A M A Z I N G!
If I were you, instead of looking for that pencil sharpener, I'd be looking for a frame! You have amamzing ( I know...I meant to repeat myself!) talent! Put on those new pink boots and get to drawing, dear! HA! Thanks for your visit and sweet comments today. Gloomy here on the prairie, too. The weekend holds promise! So does your art!!!
Fondly,
Pat

I am soooo jealous! If I could draw a chick that looked like this, ya'll couldn't tell me anything! If you think he is not pretty, you just send him to Mississippi! Great job girl.

I love your rooster drawing Kelsie! I cannot draw at all, so I am envious of your talent. I wish I could draw half that good.

Thanks for stopping by my blog and for your sweet comment about my chandelier :)

Hugs,

Amanda

Kelsie, if that's the result of just picking up the kid's colored pencils and you came up with this work of art, you are truly an artist. I think this rooster is so pretty and proud-looking. Amazing!

Very good, find that pencil sharpener and finish that rooster tail!

That is totally amazing. I wish I had that kind of talent. I did two paintings of roosters for Christmas gifts once. They didn't turn out quite as good as yours, but I gave them anyway (my mother in law still has hers hanging in her kitchen) now that's true love. I think you just have to frame this and display it in your beautiful home.

Wow..I'm very impressed! I think it's a wonderful piece of art. You should finish it, frame it, and hang it with pride somewhere in your home. It's wonderful. :)
