Banana Bread Tea Party....

So if you remember last week when Lil Sara heard her Grandparents were coming to visit us, she insisted we bake them a cake...I pulled a fast one and let her make banana bread, which to a 2 yr old is the same as cake, so no harm no "chicken"...Well today I am sharing some of the snap shots I took during the tea party Lil Sara hosted so we could consume her delicious baked goods.

Firstly lets cover the dishes we used...The trusty old "Everyday Ware" white pieces were pulled for this occasion...mainly because we are dealing with a 2yr old and the white pieces are the easiest replaced..."just in case"...We added the white with purple flower sugar and milk jug set (target clearance find) to the table as well...when taking tea with Sara 2 milk jugs are required...one for her and one for everyone else to share...We served Banana Bread of course, but also fresh strawberries and Graham Crackers...The new blue and white 2 tiered server was a lucky find at the flea market for $1...

Here is a our lovely little hostess sipping at her first cup of milk, with 2 sugars thank you very much..Nama had peppermint tea, myself English breakfast as always and Poppa had Ginger Ale...Our other guests chose just to watch the festivities since they infact are really only toys *wink*

Uh Oh! Our little hostess decided she wanted a second cup and boy did that cup fill to the top FAST...Oh No...What to do, What to do...there is no WAY that cup is getting to her mouth without making a huge mess of spilled milk...

So to avoid tears, we broke with tradition and she drank her second cup with a straw :)

Hi, Your daughter is just enchanting. I think Banana bread is better than cake sometimes. I have been on vacation so maybe I missed this, but are these your parents or your hubby's? Give your little girl a hug, reminds me a two little girls I knew a long time ago and then their little brother! That little brother will be 30 in May!
