Wash Day 2 - Sun Flare Photography

Over at Tracy's Trinkets and Treasures she has set us another photography challenged, capturing sun flares thru our camera lens...Since there really nothing more old time country relaxing as watching sheets blowing in the breeze as the sun shines bright, I used this was my subject matter...

I hope you enjoy watching my sheets dry as much as I did.

Pillow cases at high noon...

More photos taken at high noon...I love the feel of this mosaic in sepia tones...

The sun is getting low in the sky, time to get the evening chores finished...

The bird house with the melon field in the background as the sun starts to dip behind the trees..

Another sun sets on Our Country Home...

Happy Mothers Day...

My cheeky little monkey before church this morning...

Her lovely dress, matching purse and princess necklace, a gift from her Nanma for Easter...Alas lil Sara has been too sick to attend church these past few weeks...But YAY today she was fighting fit and was finally able to wear her new dress, looking just adorable, as we knew she would...
Thank you Nanma xoxo

All you Mum's, Mom's and Mother Figures, love and blessings to your all.

Childrens Choir Backdrops

Next Sunday night our Children's Choir will be presenting a program, I have been helping out with the back drops and props...

The banner for the final scene leaning against 2 backdrop panels...

We will fill the stage in front of the panels with faux trees and greenery to give it a more 3D feel..

Besides final touch ups which will be done once the backdrop panels are in place next week they are finished...
Can't wait to see it all put together with the kids all in costume...they have been working super hard at rehearsals...

Purple Gladiolia

What is not to love about Gladies......

I have been taken with them since I received a big bouquet after giving birth to my eldest daughter (now 18) by a dear friend..

Besides being lush and gorgeous, for me they always bring with them joyful memories...

And then of course are all the lovely colors...

God spared nothing in the color spectrum when he created them..

Even so I think I have found my stand out favorite in this lovely soft purple...
