Are you done with chicken yet?

No Turkey's to be seen at my house, as I am not hosting Thanksgiving this year.

So instead I am sharing more photos of our pretty new chickens.
Latte is turning out to be quite the poser and is happy to come up close to check out the camera.

Some of the reds...These ladies are already averaging 3 eggs a day from 4 red hens.

New Rooster is very handsome...Look forward to seeing him in his full tail come springtime.

The white Easter Egger is a little shy.

And today we got our first...yup that's right GREEN EGG!!!
*Do a happy chicken dance now*

Tomorrow I will start working on a DELISH creamy Roasted Tomato & Basil Soup for Thursday...I will try and type out the recipe and share here later in the week.

Hope yall are well and have a wonderful Thanksgiving

Blessings Kelsie

I am so jealous miss my mom's hens. Something got'em so now she doesn't want anymore. I would have some hens but I live in the city darn. So I'll just have to live vicariously through you tee hee.

Wow, do you feel all Martha Stewart like with your green egg? LOL! I love tomato-basil soup, looking forward to your recipe. We are going to my sons for Thanksgiving, so I am not cooking too much, besides I have some long work days today and Friday and Saturday.

The chickens are posing indeed! The shy Easter Egger is my favorite. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family - hope you're having turkey, not chicken ;)
